Exploring the Dreams of 2020: A Year of Vivid Nighttime Journeys and Subconscious Reflections

1/1 I had a dream that I was in Morocco and people were in the rivers and the water was so clear and amazing. I was only there for just a few minutes and I went right back into the U.S. without having to deal with the flights. It was an odd dream. 1/12 I had a weird dream like I was given drugs because my whole dream was like I was high or drugged. Justin Risinger and Justin Thompson were both in my dream which makes even stranger. I remember going to Justin R. and he handed me this croissant and then I went into this building. I also remember playing one slot machine and then my mom saying that she was going to give me a bunch of change for my birthday so I could use it in the slot machine. I don't know how much I started with but I know I had $350 in the machine and told whoever I was with that I was "getting low" or "running out." 1/30  I had a dream that it was my birthday and Alexis and I went downtown (don't know what city). We sat next to these tw

Keranique Damage Control Shampoo and Conditioner Set + Overnight Serum Review

Keranique Shampoo, Conditioner and Overnight Serum Review Three weeks ago I was asked to try and write an honest review of the Keranique Shampoo and Conditioner Damage Control Set and Overnight Serum . I didn't realize the type of change and confidence that would come from this. If you know me, you know that I don't spend much time on my hair (which is quite unfortunate sometimes). I dye my own hair, cut my own hair and don't own a blow dryer. And before I moved to California 3 years ago, I purchased these huge bottles of Tresemme Shampoo and Conditioner from Costco that have been my main source of hair washing these past few years. I'm not sure if it's just that I work from home or I have never made my hair a top priority, but it always seems to be placed at the bottom of the totem pole. Until now. I have never received more compliments on my hair than in these past three weeks. I tried the shampoo, conditioner, and overnight serum together and

Fried Chicken Tenders

Image
Like I mentioned in my previous blog, my intent was to have two blogs done before Christmas. With the busyness of the holiday season, I didn't get around to doing that until now - so now you get two recipes in one day :) For these Fried Chicken Tenders, I actually used two recipes - one for the ingredients and one for the actual oil and frying instructions . Below is our version, it took a little bit longer than anticipated based on how many chicken tenders, how much oil was used, and how long it took to heat up. If you make these, please comment below and let me know if you liked these or if you found an easier way to fry them. Enjoy! Ingredients: -4 chicken breasts, cut into tenders -1 cup buttermilk -2 eggs, beaten -2 cups flour -2 1/2 tsp salt -3/4 tsp pepper -1/8 tsp pepper -1/8 tsp paprika -1/8 tsp garlic powder -1/8 tsp baking powder -3-4 cups canola oil for frying Directions: Cut the chicken breasts into tenders (10-12) and soak them in a bowl with the bu

Healthy Chili Cheese Nachos

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season! I had an amazing Christmas Eve with my grandparents, cousins, aunt and uncle! Then I spent Christmas with Kevin, Jace, and Dominique. It was wonderful. For Christmas I received The Wholesome Yum Easy Keto Cookbook and an Instant Pot so look forward to those recipes in the near future! My goal before Christmas was to create two new blog posts for you guys - a healthy chili cheese nacho recipe and a fried chicken recipe. Unfortunately, I didn't get to either one before Christmas so I apologize. The holiday season has been extremely busy for me. But here I am to share the healthy chili cheese nachos that I found from Eating Well HERE . Although extremely delicious, I noticed the recipe was mainly taco-seasoned ground beef on top of chips. There is no actual chili in this recipe. Still delicious but just so you know what to expect:) Here is our version of the Healthy Chili Cheese Nachos. Enjoy! Ingredients: -1

Easy Crockpot Shredded Chicken Chili

Image
The weather here in Central California can't seem to make up its mind. This week we have received rain as well as 72 degree weather. The night we made chili, it was a gloomy night and, quite honestly, I didn't feel like cooking. We had chicken breasts in the refrigerator but I wasn't sure what to make with it. I looked up a crockpot shredded chicken chili recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction HERE and we made ours below. Besides the chicken breast, this recipe ended up being fairly reasonably priced. We also have a lot of leftovers and it was literally a recipe that you pour all the ingredients in and just leave for a few hours. Recipes like this are my favorite :) What is your favorite winter go-to recipe? Ingredients: - 2 14oz cans of diced tomatoes, drained - 2 8oz cans of tomato sauce - 3 boneless skinless chicken breast, about 1.5 pounds - 2 cups chicken broth - 1 tbsp onion powder, seasoning - 1 14oz can of corn, drained - 1 14oz can of black beans, dra

"Creamy" Mustard Chicken in the Cast Iron Skillet

Image
A few nights ago I found this Creamy Dijon Chicken recipe from Cafe Delites HERE . So, the reason why I put "creamy" in quotes is because mine didn't really turn out creamy. I had a feeling the boys wouldn't like it but they loved it and it was gone by the end of the night! It doesn't look pleasing but it tastes better than it looks :) So, here is a blog post of a "Creamy" Mustard Chicken recipe in the cast iron skillet. Ingredients for the chicken: - 2 pounds boneless chicken thighs - 1 tsp salt - 1/4 tsp pepper - 5oz bacon Ingredients for the sauce: - 2 tbsp butter - 1 tbsp onion powder - 1 tbsp garlic powder - 1 tbsp basil seasoning - 1 tsp oregano seasoning - 1/3 cup chicken broth - 1 1/2 cups half and half - 2 tbsp mustard - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/2 tsp pepper - 1/4 parmesan cheese Directions: Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat and cook until cooked through
