Ground Turkey Chili

I am officially behind by three blog posts this week so I'm going to do my best to get these up soon. Since the weather has been cooler this week (thank goodness!), most of the recipes are going to be soup or chili. I know that I have made a lot of chili recipes but this one was a healthy chili using ground turkey. The original healthy ground turkey chili recipe can be found HERE . We used garlic and onion powder instead of the actual vegetables. We also eliminated the celery, chipotle pepper, and bell peppers. This was an easy, low sodium, healthy meal.  Ingredients: 1 pound ground turkey 2 tbsp garlic powder 2 tbsp onion powder 14oz can low sodium red kidney beans, drained and rinsed 14oz can low sodium white beans, drained and rinsed 28oz can tomato sauce 1 cup chicken broth 1 tbsp chili powder 1 tbsp less sodium taco seasoning Salt and pepper to taste Add all ingredients to a crockpot and cook on high for five hours. Serve with cheese and saltine crackers.

Does anyone think that Ground Turkey is rather....blah? It seems like the only good Ground Turkey recipes out there are in Chili. So last night I made a delicious chili recipe. With the weather getting cooler (to us, 80's and 90's is cooler than the 107 consistent weather the past four months!) this recipe is so perfect because it is a crockpot recipe. It took about five hours on high in the crockpot and we served ours with shredded cheese and saltine crackers. The kidney beans were low sodium and ground turkey is definitely a better option than ground beef.  After going through my other Ground Turkey Chili blogs, I realized I have made so many already. This one is still different than all of the others I have shared but wanted to still share them below: Easy Keto No Bean Turkey Chili Turkey Chili with Beans in the Crockpot Easy Crockpot Turkey Chili Slow Cooker Turkey White Bean Chili Slow Cooker Turkey and Ground Beef Chili Ground Turkey Chili Mac Now to the recipe! This weekend has been full of NFL pre-season football! Yesterday afternoon we watched my Denver Broncos and this morning is the Indianapolis Colts for Kevin. As for the Broncos, they looked good! I was worried about keeping Drew Lock but I thought he looked great yesterday. I know it's pre-season but last year we did terrible so hopefully this is signs of things to come :)  For dinner last night we were going to make chicken but we had purchased ground turkey and ground beef from Trader Joe's earlier this week so we decided to make a Turkey and Ground Beef Chili in the crockpot. The original recipe can be found HERE .  This is a kidney-friendly chili and we adapted/added some things based on our preferences: We used one pound of ground turkey instead of two, added black beans, used onion powder instead of onion, removed the green bell pepper, we didn't use the boiling water or rice, and we added beef broth. Ingredients: 1 pound ground turkey 1 pound ground beef 1 can black

I don't know about where you are, but here in Central California, it has been freezing lately. And by freezing, I mean in the 30's. I know, I know, it's NOTHING like those 25 years of Utah winters that I moved away from. But with the cool weather comes warm meals. Last night I made this Keto Turkey Chili because it didn't cost a lot, was perfect for the weather, and like I say in almost all my recipes - it was easy to make. I molded the original recipe into my own below. We used turkey instead of ground beef, emitted green pepper, jalapeno, green chilis, tomato paste and garlic cloves. Ingredients: One pound ground turkey 1 10oz can diced tomatoes, undrained 1 15oz can tomato sauce 1 32oz carton of beef broth 2 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp basil 1 tsp cumin 2 tsp garlic powder salt and pepper, to taste Directions: Brown the ground turkey over medium heat in a sauce pan. Drain. Add to huge pot and add the remaining ingredients. Stir well. Let chi
