The Stanley Hotel - Review - Estes Park, Colorado
I feel like this is the trip that almost didn't happen. Let me take you back. I received in email in October 2022 saying that I had WON a trip to The Stanley Hotel in Colorado. This trip included a two night stay and flights. Amazing, right? Initially, they wanted us to come out for Halloween but, unfortunately, that was too soon. I thought it would be a great idea to go over my birthday (December 3rd) so we booked the trip for December 3-5. Two days before our trip, I started getting a sore throat. Not the "I'll be okay to fly and travel" light sore throat, but the "This is going to turn into something" sore throat. And it did. I cancelled our trip and, although they said it had to be used by the end of 2022, I somehow managed to have them push it out through the end of 2023. I ended up with COVID on my birthday.
