Sticky Garlic Chicken Recipe

Happy football Sunday! Too bad my Broncos and Kevin's Colts are not going to playoffs this year :(  With it being a new year - what are your new year's goals or resolutions? I have a lot of goals for myself this year but we are definitely going back to healthier recipes (after this one haha) and back to working out 1-3x per week. I ordered a treadmill that should be here by Friday (fingers crossed) and I'm more excited about that than the bike I've been using the past year.  Anyways, last night we made this amazing sticky garlic chicken recipe from Sel Magique that can be found HERE . After this one, most of our recipes will be healthier (low sodium or made for kidney disease) so stay tuned. Although this one took awhile and had a lot of ingredients, it was SO worth it for these amazing sticky chicken tenders. If you make this, let me know what you think in the comments below! For the chicken, we added Mrs. Dash Chicken (Mrs. Dash is salt-free) and for the sauce we used

Skillet Garlic Chicken

Another day, another chicken recipe! This one is a Garlic Chicken recipe from Amandas Cookin and can be found HERE . Like always, I removed the salt from this recipe. We also used vegetable oil instead of olive oil, garlic powder instead of garlic and thyme instead of parsley.  Ingredients: 3 large chicken breasts, cut into cubes 1 tbsp flour 1/2 tsp ground pepper 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tbsp garlic powder 1 tbsp thyme 2 tbsp unsalted butter Ingredients for the gravy: 1 tbsp flour 1 cup chicken broth 1 tbsp unsalted butter Directions: Cut the chicken into cubes or chunks. Toss them with flour and pepper in a bowl. As the original recipe indicates, the amount of flour mentioned is perfect - it may not fully cover the chicken all the way or you may want to add more, but just realize the amount above is enough.  Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat until very hot - add the cubed chicken and cook in one layer about 5 minutes. They should have a brown crust. Turn them over and

Garlic Chicken Recipe

I was planning on posting this Garlic Chicken recipe last week but...the week got away from me (seems like that happens more these days). This tells you the kind of week I'm having when I have 2,300 unread emails and Instagram banned me for 7 days for liking too many posts at once :/ Ugh. But hopefully this Garlic Chicken recipe will be great for you guys and you enjoy it as much as Kevin and I did :)  The only two things that I changed in this recipe is used garlic powder instead of chopped garlic and I used the That's Amore seasoning pack from Pinch Spice Market. I also used 2 chicken breasts instead of 3. The link to the original recipe can be found HERE and I also linked the seasoning below. Ingredients: 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 in cubes 1 tbsp flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp garlic powder 3 tbsp That's Amore Italian Seasoning 2 tbsp butter Ingredients for the Gravy: 1 tbsp flour 1 cup chicken broth 1 tbsp butter D

Honey Garlic Chicken in the Crockpot

The original recipe for the Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken can be found HERE This recipe was SO easy to make. I took it and made it my own.  Ingredients: three boneless, skinless, chicken thighs one tbsp. garlic powder 1/3 cup honey 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup soy sauce one tbsp oregano one tbsp parsley Add garlic powder in a bowl.  Add 1/3 cup honey.  Add ketchup, soy sauce, oregano and parsley. Whisk all ingredients. Place three chicken breast in the crockpot.  Pour sauce in crockpot. Put crockpot on high for four hours or low for eight hours. Since the chicken was already thawed, I cooked on high for five hours and that was more than enough. Serve with rice and veggies. Enjoy!
