Our home likes and enjoys Sloppy Joe's. In fact, this is the 5th Sloppy Joe blog I have written: Easy and Delicious Sloppy Joe's Quick and Easy Sloppy Joe's Easy Sloppy Joe's with a Secret Ingredient Ground Turkey Sloppy Joe's A real quick update on my health before diving into the recipe - I'm officially at week 7 for my cough. I saw the doctor 13 days ago and then again 6 days ago. My antibiotics are out and I'm on the last few days of my cough medication/pills that I'm taking 3x per day. My cough seems to have been getting worse the past 3 days or so. I got blood word yesterday, the focus was thyroid and white blood cell count but when I was confirming with the lady who was drawing my blood, she said, "we are checking you for a lot of things" and took 4 vials of blood.  Last night I made the most delicious Sloppy Joe's I have ever made. I made them on the stovetop and used a secret ingredient because I did not have Onion Powder. Keep reading to see what it is. The original recipe was an Instant Pot recipe HERE but I decided to do stovetop instead. The original recipe called for 3 pounds of ground beef and I only used 1.5 pounds. I used about 3/4 of the sauce and saved the rest for later.  My version is below.  Ingredients: 1.5 pounds ground beef 1 pack dry onion powder mix (this is the secret ingredient and it worked wonderfully!) Cook until browned.  Drain. In a bowl, mix together all of the other ingredients and pour on top of the ground beef.  Add more cracked pepp

I can't remember if it was church camp where we had them or just a part of our weekly family dinners at home (or maybe both) but they bring back a lot of great memories. Kevin sent me a recipe on Friday and *thankfully* I had all of the ingredients already at home except the meat. This recipe was actually shorter than what it said and the Sloppy Joe's turned out really really good. In fact, in the original recipe HERE , some of the comments stated that this was the best Sloppy Joe recipe they have made :) We added a few extra spices in it so feel free to customize to your liking :) Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 1 cup ketchup 1/4 cup water 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons mustard 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespoon paprika 4 hamburger buns Directions: In a large saucepan, cook bee
