Chicken Marinade for Chicken Thighs and Drumsticks

I think I'm just gonna stick with the fact that my weeks are always going to be long and busy. No matter how much I try to have a break, it doesn't ever happen haha (during the week, not weekends luckily). It's OK though. Last Saturday Kevin and I were able to go out on an amazing date and it has been well worth the busyness. We went to the movies, out to lunch and dinner, we went to the doughnut shop, and watched the boxing match at the movie theater. He paid for ALL of it. Chicken Marinade for BBQ Chicken and Grilling

Yesterday we decided to grill some chicken. We are lucky enough to have a nice BBQ across the street from our house and we have used it three times in the last few weeks. Before grilling, I put together a marinade for the chicken and let it soak up for about five hours prior to grilling. The original recipe can be found HERE but we made some changes (and some recommendations) below. Ingredients: 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup Pasolivo Aged Balsamic Vinegar (Highly recommend!!) 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce 1/8 cup lemon juice 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 tsp dried basil Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste Garlic Powder, to taste Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk. Put chicken in the bowl OR you can divide the chicken and marinade in individual bags and let sit for 4-24 hours in the fridge. This recipe originated from a Skillet Chicken Fajita recipe found HERE   I took that recipe and made it my own. Ingredients: Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (3) cut in slices to make fillets or tenders 2 tablespoons olive oil 3 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons orange juice 1/2 of a lime 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon sweet and spicy southwestern mustard 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon oregano 2 teaspoons liquid smoke Put together marinade by adding 2 tablespoons olive oil in a bowl. Add the 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Add the 2 tablespoons of orange juice and the 1/2 of a lime. Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Add 1 tablespoon sweet and spicy southwestern mustard, 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, and 2 teaspoons liquid smoke.
