Baked Spaghetti Recipe

Image
With Christmas Day tomorrow (can you believe it??) I thought I would share a few recipes to try when you are done with your "Christmas dinner" (we had ours a few days ago at Kevin's moms house) and ready for something different. This Baked Spaghetti recipe takes some time to make but Jace (he is 12) said this is wayyy better than regular Spaghetti.  This recipe is from AllRecipes and can be found HERE . We replaced the onion with onion powder, we replaced meatless spaghetti sauce with organic spaghetti sauce, and we did not use cottage cheese. Believe it or not, without cottage cheese, it still tasted amazing! Ingredients: 1 package spaghetti noodles 1 pound ground beef 1 tbsp onion powder 2 jars spaghetti sauce 1/2 tsp season salt 2 eggs 1/3 cup parmesan cheese 5 tbsp butter (we use unsalted) melted 5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded Directions: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook spaghetti noodles in boiling water, stirring occasionally, about 12 minutes and drain. Whi

Spaghetti with Homemade Meatballs

I have told you this over and over but Kevin is SO amazing at coming up with creative ways to make dinner. Last night we made Baked Spaghetti with Homemade Meatballs and even Jace helped. It was pretty easy but took a few steps in order to make this as good as it was. I didn't use a recipe for this one, so the steps will be just me winging it. I only used about 6 ingredients: Spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce, Italian seasoning, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and ground beef. First I cooked the spaghetti noodles, al dente, about 10 minutes on the stove (just follow the directions on the box). I then took the ground beef to make the meatballs. Take about a golf size amount of ground beef, form it in a ball, push in and add in the mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning and then shape the ground beef around it to form into a ball again. This will make mozzarella cheese stuffed meatballs. Jace helped me make these. Once those are done, you are going to sear them. Heat a few table

Baked Spaghetti with Ground Sausage and Ground Beef

Baked Spaghetti is so good that this is the second blog I have written about it. My first one can be found HERE . I used some different ingredients in the first one and we actually had garlic bread the second time around so we didn't have to make our own. I like this one better because it contains sausage and ground beef. The original recipe can be found HERE . Ingredients: -1 pound spaghetti pasta -1.25 pound italian sausage -.75 pound ground beef - 1 tbsp onion powder - 1 tbsp minced garlic - 40oz of pasta sauce - 1 tbsp italian seasoning - 12oz cheddar cheese, shredded - 6oz mozzarella cheese, shredded - salt and pepper, to taste Directions: Brown the beef and italian sausage over medium heat. Drain. Toss in onion powder and minced garlic. Add in the pasta sauce and stir. Sprinkle in italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and turn the heat down to low. Let cook for 10 minutes. While sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti pasta 10 minutes, until al dente. Drai

Baked Spaghetti Casserole

Since making Baked Spaghetti Casserole, I am never going back to regular Spaghetti again. This tasted so much better than I thought. We forgot Garlic Bread so made our own. We toasted bread, put butter on it with some Garlic Powder and it turned out great. The original Baked Spaghetti Casserole recipe can be found HERE . We made our own below :) Enjoy! Ingredients: 10 oz Spaghetti, cooked Seasonings - Basil and Parsley 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese 1/3 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese Sauce: Ground Beef Onion Powder (as much as needed) Garlic Powder (as much as needed) Italian Seasoning (I used a tiny bit of Italian Breadcrumbs mixed with Season Salt) 32 oz Pasta Sauce Instructions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown the meat, onion powder, garlic powder, and seasonings over medium heat. Make sure to break up the meat very well and drain fat. Add pasta sauce, Italian Seasonings and more Basil. Simmer 5-10 minutes uncovered. While it's cooking, make the Spaghetti noodles
