Garlic Butter Steak Strips

I'm a little behind on writing a blog post but I have been busy. Jace and I went with some new friends this afternoon to the Paso football game and we loved it. It was in the 90's outside and perfect. And I didn't have to cook tonight because we ordered Domino's :) I know, I know, not the best but hey, it was a day I didn't have to cook so I was fine with it! Also, I'm currently watching the most competitive football game in Utah - Utah Utes and BYU - and I have been looking forward to this game for the past week. Even though I no longer live in Utah, it is still fun to watch! Pizza and football is the perfect Saturday night. We made this recipe a few nights ago and I got compliments all around. The original recipe for the Garlic Butter Streak Strips can be found HERE . The recipe was a steak and potato recipe but we did steak and asparagus instead and it was probably one of the best recipes I have made!  Ingredients: 1.5 pound steak strips 2 tbsp vegetable oil

So I initially made these Steak Bites about a week ago and they were rather dry (I always try it before I serve it) so I added a few ingredients to the original recipe from HERE and made it my own below. Enjoy!  Ingredients: 1 tbsp olive oil 3 tbsp garlic powder 1.71 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite size pieces salt to taste 2 tbsp butter 1 tbsp parsley, chopped 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp onion powder Directions:  Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp garlic powder and cook for one minute. Add in steak bites and cook about 5 minutes per side.  Once they are done, reduce the heat and add in butter. Stir to combine until it is melted. Add soy sauce, the remainder garlic powder, and onion powder. Garnish with parsley and serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

I didn't realize how behind I was on food blogging until my Mom asked me yesterday about it. I've been going through some changes and I have been provided with new opportunities that I'm super excited for so unfortunately blogging has been put to the backburner. I have two other blog posts that are pending that may or may not get published today. I think last week was the only week in awhile where I didn't actually cook too much. Between Superbowl, working late, and certain opportunities, seemed like I didn't have much time for cooking. This week I am back on track and even over the weekend I was cooking again. I made these Garlic Butter + Soy Sauce Steak Bites with rice.  The original recipe didn't call  for soy sauce but I honestly thought they were too dry without it. I also added a lot more butter than the original recipe called for HERE . I also used 2 pounds of steak instead of 1. And can I just say that $18 for two pieces of steak was SO expensive. My w
