No Bake Raspberry Protein Bites
No Bake Raspberry Protein Bites
Struggling with healthy snack ideas that keep you full? If you are looking for an energy-packed, no-bake protein bite, this is for you! I tend to snack all day (the joys of working from home) and most of the time, I overeat or I eat food that I shouldn't be eating.
These protein bites keep me on track with my health and also provide me with the protein I need so I can be fuller longer. They are great after a workout, during the afternoon, or even a late morning snack.
Reach for this whenever you need a pick-me-up throughout your day. I tend to eat 1-2 per day because they are so filling.

Keep in the fridge until ready to be eaten. They lasted about 6 days in an airtight, sealed plastic container, eating two per day for six days.

Feel free to add other or adjust ingredients such as:
• Almond butter
• Chia seeds
• Flex seeds
• Dried fruits
• Flavored protein powders
• Almonds or nuts (to balance sweet with salty)
I have a Snickerdoodle protein powder that I want to try using this recipe.
I purchased the freeze dried raspberries on Amazon just for this recipe and I have noticed Jace (my teen) will sneak them and eat them plain:) I also love the mini chocolate chips on top of yogurt or even by themselves so there are several uses for these ingredients as well.
Recipe Inspiration
I was looking for a recipe that would help me get my daily protein in as well as help me pre and post-workout. I came across this recipe from CleanFoodCrush for no-bake raspberry protein bites.
Although very spot on with the original recipe, we did use specific ingredients to adjust to our liking. The original recipe mentioned a natural peanut or almond butter. We chose a cashew butter because it's sweet, lower in sugar, and is richer in other ingredients compared to your standard peanut butter.
We also chose to use maple syrup because it's sugar free, with the perfect amount of sweetness. It's also low calorie, gluten free, and kosher. We also did not add the optional almonds.
I don't remember ever trying freeze-dried raspberries (they are must now that I have had them!) and I love all of the ingredients besides that, so I gave it a try.

• 3/4 cup cashew butter
• *1 cup rolled oats
• *1/3 cup Maple Grove maple syrup (or Vermont sugar free and low calorie syrup)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• *2 scoops vanilla protein powder (I love the Vega brand)
• *1/2 cup freeze dried raspberries
• 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter instead of cashew butter.
In a bowl, combine the cashew butter, rolled oats, honey, vanilla extract, vanilla protein powder, freeze dried raspberries and mini chocolate chips. Stir ingredients together very well.
✓ Step #2 Form into balls
