Inspiration Behind This Dish

This recipe was suggested by my fiancé because we love both chicken and pasta. This protein-packed meal was a hit for our entire family and is the first Marry Me pasta dish I have ever made. This recipe will be on repeat due to the fact that not only did we clear our plates, we also devoured leftovers a few days later.

How To Customize This Recipe

✓ The heavy cream helps make the sauce thick but if you don't have heavy cream, regular milk should work as well, just add more cheese to thicken it up
✓ Instead of parmesan cheese, you can use your preferred cheese blend
✓ If you want to add some heat, you can add crushed red pepper, smoked paprika, or Cajun seasoning
✓ Want a creamy pasta? You can always eliminate the chicken

  • Macaroni shells (or *Rotini Pasta)
  • Chicken breast filets (4–5)
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder (divided)
  • 2 tbsp onion powder (divided)
  • 1/4 cup pasta water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Note: I used thinner chicken breast filets from Albertsons and they worked perfect for this recipe due to the fact that they are thinner and cook easier. If you can’t find chicken breast filets, feel free to use regular chicken breasts - just slice them thin for faster cooking.
